The Bell County Sportsman's Club has an extensive history dating back to 1952. For many years of its existence, the club operated both the dock and a clubhouse in Morgans Point where monthly social gatherings were held. Due to extensive costs needed for the dock to stay in environmental compliance and the maintenance costs for the clubhouse, the difficult decision was made to sell the clubhouse in 2019. The sale marked a major change in the activities of the Club, but enabled it to bring the dock into compliance and providing greater security for the future of the dock and fulfill the Club's purpose as reflected in Article II of the bylaws.
